About the event
Big Fun is a 6-piece ensemble that plays funk, soul, and jazz fusion from the ‘60s, ’70s, and beyond, including the music of Herbie Hancock, Eddie Harris, Freddie Hubbard, The Jazz Crusaders, Fred Wesley, The Meters, Steve Gadd, Keith Jarrett, Grant Green, James Brown, Jeff Coffin, and more!
Big Fun is comprised of seasoned musicians with extensive playing and teaching credentials, and several members are currently on the faculty of both the University of Iowa and the University of Northern Iowa. They have been playing together for the last five years but are really looking forward to a great year of music and "big fun" in 2025!
