Included with every rental
Here's what comes with every rental, at no extra charge.
Professional bartenders
...so that you aren't stuck with temp workers who can't mix a proper Manhattan. Our team of industry veterans are full-time professionals, and they are expertly staffed according to your event needs. No staffing shortages or paying for extra bartenders.
Event Coordinator
...so that you don't have to hire one. Your dedicated Event Coordinator will serve as your single point of contact and can help you plan, select and coordinate vendors, design floorplans, develop an itinerary, and ensure the event runs smoothly on the day of.
Indoor + outdoor space
...so that you aren't hit with separate charges for separate spaces. Our clients enjoy access to the theater interior AND the adjacent 5,000 square ft fenced-in courtyard, complete with outdoor seating and a private, gated driveway perfect for RVs and food trucks.
Premium sound and lighting
...so that you get extra without paying extra. As a premiere performance venue, we are so proud of our audio/visual capabilities that we include our house production with every rental, free of charge.
Premium selection
...so that your guests aren't left choosing the least worst of limited options. Give your guests exactly what they want with our extensive, premium selection of beer, wine, liquor, seasonal craft cocktails and N/A options...plus anything special just for you.
Your own event webpage
...so that you can convey event information and collect RSVPs without going through a third-party service. Your webpage is connected to an event planning platform, where you and your Event Coordinator can collaborate on floorplans, itineraries, guest lists and more.
Premium furniture
...so that you aren't stuck renting folding chairs and tables. Set the stage with rich cherrywood cocktail tables, gold marble dining tables, and padded as well as un-padded seating - all included with your rental, as well as set-up. You design the floorplan, we make it happen.
The splendor of the Gilded Age
...so that you spend less on decor. The early 1900s brought some of the most opulent interior decoration ever witnessed. Wow your guests simply by opening the doors to this historic venue...no added expense needed.

Hosting a remarkable event shouldn’t require financial guesswork.
That’s why our pricing model is built around transparency, flexibility, and your ability to decide how your investment is structured.
Rentals are structured in 2 parts:

Rental Fee - due at signing to secure your date.

Bar Sales Minimum - due by the end of the event. Minimums may be met via cash bar paid for by the guests, an open bar paid for by the host, or a combination, such as drink tickets or a limited open bar.
Why We Structure It This Way
First, it breaks the investment into manageable portions. Rather than one large, all-inclusive number due upfront, the cost is distributed across the lifecycle of your event.
Second, it gives you flexibility.
Because a significant portion of your total investment is tied to the bar sales minimum, your guests can help offset costs through a cash bar, or you can choose how much you’d like to host.
In other words, you’re not just choosing a venue. You’re choosing how to structure your spending.
Unlike venues with rigid, flat pricing, this model allows you to tailor the financial approach to your comfort level and priorities.
And if your event doesn’t quite reach the minimum? You can either pay the difference directly, or you can keep every dollar working for you by applying the remaining balance toward packaged products, bottles of wine, or bottled cocktails to take home.
Finally, this structure allows us to maintain one of our greatest differentiators: exceptional bar service. Our minimums ensure we can attract, train, and retain top-tier bartenders and staff, delivering the polished, professional experience your guests will notice.

What if we don't want bar service?
Bar Sales Minimums are only required when opting for full bar service! Sunday-Thursday, clients may opt for standard beverage service (unlimited water, soda, juice, coffee and tea) for just $10/person.
Can I pick my own caterer?
We encourage you to select a caterer from our list of vetted catering partners - caterers we know and trust to deliver on time, on quality, and with the proper equipment and staffing to serve your guests. These are teams with whom we've built a relationship - they understand our spaces, our timelines, our load-in procedures, and the level of service we expect.
If you have a specific caterer in mind who is not currently on our list, we’re happy to take a look and potentially vet new vendors for approval, provided they meet our licensing and insurance requirements.
Can I bring in my own food?
Per our insurance requirements, any food served on site must be prepared in a licensed facility by a licensed food handler. We reserve the right to request documentation for any food not directly delivered by a caterer.
Can I bring in my own alcohol?
No. Outside alcohol and beverages of any kind are not permitted, but we are happy to make customizations or fulfill special requests to ensure your bar service fits your vision!
Can I rent the venue for just a few hours?
Outside of Saturday and Sunday half-day rental options, The Ideal is available only as a full-day rental. This policy ensures our clients and Event Coordinators have ample time for thoughtful setup, vendor coordination, and the inevitable last-minute adjustments that come with any live event.
Can I get early access to the venue?
Yes! Upgrade your rental with the early access add-on. Sorry - no access before 8AM. And if you stay late? We'll stay open for as long as the bar stays busy, for no extra charge!
Can I come back the next day to collect my things?
So long as we don't have another rental, Friday and Saturday clients may return between 8AM-10AM the next morning to collect their decor, gifts, etc - no extra charge.
Do you have a non-profit rate?
Yes! Our 501(c)3 clients enjoy 50% off their rental fee!
How many people does The Ideal Theater hold?
The Ideal Theater is best-suited for gatherings of up to 150. If renting during warmer months and enjoying the outdoor area, the overall capacity can increase to 200+.
Are there different package options?
Yes! Our base rental package includes everything you need to host a seamless, beautifully executed event, but if you’re looking to elevate the experience even further, we offer a curated menu of add-ons.
Your Event Coordinator can guide you through our add-on menu to build out a rental package custom-fit to your needs and guaranteed to deliver the experience you envision.
