Jessica Mar

Some songs make you want to roll the windows down, even in November.

Step inside The Ideal Theater & Bar, where the lights are warm and Jessica Mar has somewhere to take you. For Jessica Mar’s “Walla Walla” Release Show ft. JWC, the Cedar Rapids musician joins local band JWC for original music, surprise covers, and the first live performance of the new version of “Walla Walla,” with a full band.

Inspired by a Washington city’s wonderfully whimsical name, the breezy road-trip song opens a five-song EP about transformation. This evening, you get to be there for a beginning.

Jessica brings heartfelt storytelling and American Sign Language into performances shaped by connection. Bring someone who could use a little lift. Settle in with a cocktail or mocktail, sing along, and let a hometown Thursday take you somewhere new.
