When the teachers clock out, the punchlines clock in. Three educators ditch the lesson plans and bring the unfiltered comedy to the stage at Laugh Local: Nada School Night.
The bells have rung, the hallways are empty, and the teachers have finally taken the mic.
Laugh Local returns for its fourth installment with Nada School Night, a faculty edition where three of the area's sharpest educators clock out of the classroom and straight into stand-up. Expect sharp wit, unfiltered stories, and the kind of observations that never made it into the lesson plan.
Leading the class is Carson Tuttle, Iowa City comic and 2021 Best Local Stand-Up Comedian (Little Village Mag), whose years teaching middle school have prepared him for the toughest hecklers imaginable. Joining him are Halane Cummings, a recently retired educator turning decades of classroom wisdom into razor-dry comedy, and Mindy Kruckenberg, a Funniest Person in Iowa finalist whose stories from the classroom land just as well as her punchlines.
Whether you're a fellow educator blowing off some professional steam, a parent who survived the pickup line, or just someone who enjoys a good laugh, this is the only elective you'll need all semester.
Attendance policy: No hall passes required. A sense of humor is mandatory.
