Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia just turned their partnership into a 2026 Blues Music Award win for Blues Rock Album. The Olympic gives that kind of guitar conversation the right scale: close enough to watch every bend, slide, grin, and little dare between them.
Chocolate Walk & Shop

Marion's historic district stays open late, chocolate appears where errands usually do, and the whole thing becomes a low-pressure fall stroll. No seat map, no complicated plan, just a good excuse to make Friday feel like it started early.

Benson opened for Trace Adkins last year; now the Fort Dodge singer-songwriter brings a full five-piece country-rock band into The Ideal for his first Cedar Rapids headlining show. It's the kind of Iowa-made bill that feels better in a room than in a feed.

Swan Lake goes all-in
Sunday, October 4 - 6 PM. Paramount Theatre. Tickets World Ballet Company brings Swan Lake to the Paramount with a live orchestra, 50 dancers, and a production scaled for the room. That's the hook: not just ballet as an idea, but the full grand-machine version of it. The show runs about two and a half hours with intermission and is listed for ages five and up, which makes it one of the rare Sunday plans that can hold a date night, a family outing, or a bring-someone-who-never-goes-to-ballet experiment. Dress up a little. Let Sunday earn it.

Revival Theatre Company opens the Tony-winning musical about the Continental Congress right as the country stares down its 250th anniversary. The useful part is that it lets the founders be difficult, nervous, petty, and human, which is usually where the actual theater lives.
